Hair cutting course information

Practical Seminar 08/08/2025 was held at the Navy Guest House, 27C Dien Bien Phu, Hong Bang, Hai Phong City by JOMO Scissors, Hair & Beauty, with sponsorship from the high-end hair cutting scissors brand TORA . This is an intensive program for hairdressers who already have a foundation but want to upgrade their techniques and optimize their work process. In one day of study, students will access a complete set of knowledge from popular hair trends, form building thinking for each customer, to techniques for handling common situations at the salon. The special feature of the seminar is the "practical" training method - students can observe and practice on real models, instead of just learning through theory.

Course content

The program focuses on 5 hot trend hairstyles in 2025 - hairstyles that are popular in the market and have high applicability. Students are given detailed instructions on how to analyze the head shape, hair quality, and personal style of the customer to create the correct form. In addition, the instructors share the secret to controlling hair weight, handling reasonable thickness and creating highlights with techniques suitable for each hairstyle.

A key part of the course is dealing with real-life situations. Common “difficult cases” that come up in salons – from naturally curly hair, dry, damaged strands, to clients who request sudden style changes – are presented and resolved on the spot. Students get to see the entire process on a real model, including choosing the cutting technique, using the right tools, and adjusting the hair shape to make it both beautiful and durable.

The course not only provides techniques, but also conveys a professional mindset: how to approach customers, listen to their needs, and turn those needs into commercial hair products that are both trendy and easy to care for. This is an important factor that helps hairdressers retain customers and develop sustainable salons.

Training instructor

The seminar was led by three famous hair stylists in the Vietnamese hair industry. Cuong Phan - with over 10 years of experience, famous for his creative form-building techniques and ability to transform hairstyles to suit each face. Hoang Viet - an expert in applied hair forms, harmoniously combining aesthetics and commercial elements, helping hairdressers create hairstyles that customers can easily accept and love. Toni Hieu - a master in handling delicate forms, paying special attention to the lines and balance of the hairstyle, bringing a unique style to each customer.

The common point of all three lecturers is openness and not hiding anything about their profession. They are willing to share all the secrets from techniques to experience in handling difficult cases, helping students shorten their study time and become more confident in their work.

Training time

The event takes place on a single day – August 8, 2025 , starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m. The program is divided into several small parts, interwoven between theory and practice so that students can both acquire knowledge and experience directly. Most of the time is spent practicing on real models to ensure that students master the techniques and can apply them right at the salon.
